But unlike the slingshot described above, this device will require some experience when using it. So, beginners will need to “sweat” a lot before they understand all the features of casting boilies. The latter are lighter and more convenient to use, while at the same time they have many useful innovations. For example, a special shape of the tip that provides better air resistance during direct casting, while it twists the outgoing boilie. In addition to the material and various “bells and whistles”, all cobras differ from each other in diameter. That is, they are designed for a specific boilie diameter. Rockets

Rockets are called bait attachments that, in appearance, follow the aerodynamic contours of military missiles (ergonomics, stabilizers, and other features). The structure is made of durable plastic, and the “nose” is made of special floating materials. This, after hitting the rocket in the water, helps it roll over (nose up) and so pour out the bait mixture.

spod . By design, bait rockets are classified into two separate types:

• Closed (SPOMB);
• “Open” (SPOD).

Taking into account the fact that the first to create “open”, and then “closed” missiles, it is quite logical that the SPOMB is an upgrade of the SPOD.

SPOMB

SPOMBs are completely enclosed missiles. That does not allow “scattering” of even very small bait and significantly increases aerodynamic qualities. You can not be afraid to load any bait compositions into these rockets, since they will be “released” only at the time when the “spring-loaded button” (on the front) is clamped when the nose beats against the water. The length of the body instantly opens into two halves, then the bait composition will go to the bottom in the required place.

SPOD

This is an “open” rocket, which has special holes and an open bottom, with the help of which all the bait is stuffed inside. Despite the fact that the inertial force during fast flight keeps the bait mixture inside the body, according to the manufacturers’ recommendations, it is advisable to fix it with a “plug” made of any loose elements.

“Croatian”

As the name implies, these devices were developed by carp anglers from Croatia. Due to their unique design, these rockets have excellent flight characteristics, which allow casting the bait mixture over ultra-long distances. In this case, the rockets are much easier to exhaust. You just need to pull the rod towards yourself and the structure turns with its “nose” to the fisherman. Its body is so strong that it can even withstand being hit by a car.

“Parachute”

Parachutes are considered to be the most widespread device in carp fishing for lure fishing with spod rods. The main reasons for its popularity are as follows:

1. They can be made in a very short time directly on the pond by carefully cutting off the bottom of the plastic eggplant. Although they are found on sale in stores.
2. Due to the rapid winding of the parachute, the speed and efficiency of this method of feeding the food is much higher, in contrast to the feeding with “rockets”. So, having blinded large balls within an hour, you can send up to 50 kg of feed to the fishing zone (distance about 100 meters).

Buckets

Buckets are used to feed the promising carp fishing area, which is practically near the coast. Despite the fact that their main purpose is to feed from a boat, they are quite suitable for coastal areas. The main advantage of branded buckets is that they are equipped with extension cords, from which a “plug” of the required size is assembled.

PVA materials

These are special devices that are made on the basis of polyvinyl alcohol, it is able to quickly and completely dissolve upon contact with water. The dissolution period will largely depend on the temperature in the reservoir and, naturally, on the depth. The most popular types of PVA devices are PVA bags, PVA nets, PVA threads. By and large, all of these varieties are excellent spot feeding solutions at specific depths.

PVA bags are ready-made devices in which you can put a certain amount of bait mixture, most often this is done with hooks inside. The principle of operation is as follows: after diving to the bottom of the pond, the bag becomes limp in the water, and at the bottom there is a small slide of “delicacies” for carp, where a hook is hidden in the middle.

PVA mesh

The main advantage of PVA mesh is its versatility in use. So, with the help of it, both large PVA-“sausages” and small feeding PVA-“candies” are made. In the store version, the net is usually sold as a set: spools with a net and a “piston” of a special design. Pistons are required in order to push the required amount of groundbait mixture into the hollow space of the mesh. After filling, the created structure is cut off, and knots are knitted at the ends of the “candy”.

In this case, a row of boilies is put on the thread at the same time and fixed to the hook. So, after lowering to the bottom of the reservoir, the thread will dissolve after a certain time, and a certain amount of freshly prepared and attractive carp boilies will be near the nozzle.

Recommendations for beginner carp anglers

According to the advice of already experienced carp fishing, it is best for novice fishermen to start their rather long way in mastering various carp devices for feeding fish with closed rockets.
